The conference represents the culmination of the first phase of our multi-campus collaboration 2015-2016, and offered a public-facing three-day-long symposium and workshop series designed to open the CoLED conversation to a broader crowd of ethnographers, designers, practitioners. The faculty members will spend the 2021–22 academic year developing their courses and will begin offering them to undergraduates in 2022–23 or 2023–24.Īlthough they span many disciplines, the courses are united by a common thread, according to Shalom Staub, director of the UCLA Center for Community Engagement. As a collaboratory fellow at UCLA I taught R and Bioconductor in a bi-monthly workshop and also contributed to Next Generation Sequencing data analyses.
